Radiator Problem Maybe!?!
So my friend has an Integra and she says that it overheats sometime. It doesn't do it all the time but if she's stuck in traffic too long then her car starts smoking and she usually has to pull over and add water/coolant. So I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on what it could be!?! I'm kinda thinking maybe it's the radiator acting up or possibly the thermostat since it doesn't overheat all the time....thoughts?
I know she doesn't have a GT but I figured this may be a common problem so maybe someone here could help since I know you guys better than the people on the other forums. Thanks in advance.

Re: Radiator Problem Maybe!?!
If she has to add coolant to the radiator, then there's probably a leak somewhere. You shouldn't have to add coolant, the level should stay at the top. There could be a leak in the radiator so when the coolant gets warm and the thermostat sends it through the radiator, shes actually losing coolant because of a leak.

Re: Radiator Problem Maybe!?!
You will lose coolant if you overheat. It forces the water to the overflow jug and will dump it on the ground.
