PCV valve?
Do the Ecotec's have one? I know the loosely related GM Atlas/Vortec 4, 5 and 6cyl engines do not have a serviceable valve. They basically have a short hose that goes from the top of the crankcase skirt, directly to the intake manifold and a breather line from the cam cover to upstream of the throttle body. I know the breather line is plumbed into the giant intake resonator on my Ecotec, where is the 'PCV' line?

Re: PCV valve?
FYI: Obviously there is no serviceable PCV valve on the Ecotecs. However there is a vacuum side to the PCV system. It's plumbed directly into the intake manifold. There is a port in the cylinder head that an orifice drilled/cast into the intake manifold mates up to. The vacuum from the IM pulls the crankcase gasses out of the engine while the breather line on the cam cover supplies filtered air back in. Myth busted!
