b20 frankenstein... yes indeed....

the last thread i read on b20's got violent...so i'll start a new...

i have an 88 crx si... i dont wanna be cliche and get a b16 cuz im tired of the hype... i have extensive knowledge on hondas and there engines... so i was considering b20 b or z....doesnt matter for now....put skunk intake manifold...some block work....and save up money for a type r head with valve job...i like the idea of gradually spending money...

so....give me ideas...suggestions...what u know....this should be good....

That's one $$$ setup. My suggestion would be to start saving your money.

if you do the gradual thing, your car will be down for days when you finally do the head swap. if you save your money and just get everything one time, you will only lose the swap time, and youll bring your car out fucking fast, www.fuckenfast.com, lol. plus if you stick everything on when the motor is out then its alot easier.

i like the idea of being slow one weekend so your friend think your car is slow, then the next weekend bust out a 13s car, and spank your fastest friend. that shit is cool

absolutely...but see.... im not really concerned about the down time...
(i.e. i lost my license for a mad speeding ticket....)

plus i wanna see what my rex does with a straight b20...see some potential....then do those major mods...

i wanna see for myself if i like the stock b20 over other engines...

i see your point. i like to say to everyone is that dont let anyone tell you or persuade you to get something or do something you dont wanna do. like i am gonna get a b18a hopefully pretty soon, ive been waiting like 7 months for it and i am still waiting, well all of my friends tell me that i should go sohc vtec and i even considered it but then i told myself dont let anyone persude you get something you dont wanna get or do something you dont wanna do

well...if u go with pistons other than stock, u have to go aftermarket...cuz the other b-series pistons dont work in the b20...so u mite as well take it out to 85 or 86mm and then buy pistons...
