The other day when i had my 99 eclipse on.. i turned it off quickly an turned it back on (stupuid idea to get my stupid stero to read a cd) an the car just cut out on me.. i got a jump but even after leaving it on it dies.. thought it could be a fuse but i kinda doubt it.. if anyone has any ideas on what the problem may be please give me a hand.. any help would be apretiated, thanks in advance :]

It sounds like your alternator is fried. If it wasn't the alternator after you had the car jumped it would have recharged the battery while it was running and it would have been fine. Was it running like it should after it was jumped? What i mean by that is was it running hot, making any weird noises, or anything like that?

Yea, everything was fine when i got the jump start. no odd noises or irregular tempretures.. thanks for the help :] .. i'm gonna go take care of it now

Autozone will test the battery and alternator for free, fyi. Take advantage of it.

if you live near a Sears Tire Center they also have a free battery and alternator diagnostic
