Ut-oh!!...tiny hole in muffler

Nothing to justify it's replacement yet, but was crawling under the Rodeo the other day to specifically investigate the exhaust just to make sure nothing was happening; and whamboosh! Tiny little hole in the muffler, with another about to become a hole, guess I kind of figured it was coming at 10yrs of age.

Overall not bad, and not bad enough, IMHO, to warrant replacing anything yet, and y'all know how picky I am.

Question is, should I and/or do I need to put anything on the muffler at this point; and, if so, what??

I do have some JB Weld that I used on the BMW's actual exhaust pipe - the same day I was looking at the Rodeo, but don't know if this can be used on the muffler too?

Reason I want to push it off, is the BMW needs a whole new exhaust system - from the manifold back, it IS cracked badly; and when I actually do the Rodeo, I want all new exhaust as well, not just the muffler.

Older, paid off vehicles can be a blessing; but they can also be brats too!

You can use some muffler patch. JB weld might work as well. Neither will last all that long though. If its rusted enough to be through in at least one spot all the rest of the metal is very thin and will soon become small holes that quickly get larger.
