my maxima is 5 spd transmission,97. his jetta is 97 too and he is running with a cold intake. Can I beat him ?we gonna race a 1/4 mile.

if you don't beat him you don't deserve to drive your maxima.
the only volkswagen that can contend with the maxima are the w8 passats and the vr6 carrado.
