uh alternator thingy
I was reading about this new alternator upgrade thing the oher day ....
u guys in the US prob hered of this already ... anyway ... the device actually turns off your alternator when its not needed freeing the engine up from spinning the alternater and allowing the engine to push out more power ... i kinda lost the web page i was reading ti from ... any of u guys know where to get one ??? they said it has been used in touring cars for years ...

You need your Alternator to run the car all the time, the only time you don't need it is when starting the car since it runs off of the battery. After that the battery doesn't do much but get recharged by the alternator. Without the Alt working you have no spark and no spark means no drive.

yup... and with out the alt you can maybe drive 5 min, if you are feather footing it, before the batt. crapps out on ya... and that'd be really hard on the battery...
