Need Help With Ac

Ac Is Blowing Hot Air, I Did A System Check, And I Got The Code 1342 On The Digital Display. I Was Told This Code Is For A Bad Datc Module, But This Car Has Five. So How Can I Tell Which One It Is. Can Anyone Help, I Really Don't Want To Go To The Dealer If I Don't Have Too.

Re: Need Help With Ac

I had the same problem with my AC. The guys at the LincolnvsCadillac forum indicated that the problem was most likely a bad Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV, also known as a Heater Control valve). You can find it for about $150. I found the genuine Motocraft part at Rockauto.com for $95. It takes about 2 hours to put it in. You have to drain the radiator which is the hardest part. You can go to this link to view the service manual for an 06. I don't know what year you have, but this helped me (it was dead on) with my 04:

Re: Need Help With Ac

I had the same problem with my AC in my 2004 Lincoln LS. The trouble codes I got were 1265 and 2798. It turned out the be the DCCV (Heater Control Valve).
