I am trying to find a used or rebuilt tranny. How do you find I find out what gear ratio I need?

Call your VIN into the dealership or Detroit. If you have the autobahn, you should have the optional gear ratio. (371?) Stock should be 3.42. (Don't quote, somewhere in that city block.)
