Help on a 2.5L GM engine, please look for just one second :)
I know this isn't a question about a Lumina, but the Skylark Forum is a dud. Could someone look at this please?
[url="http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=709586"] This concerns a a 2.5L OHV with DIS ignition. Cylinders 1 and 4 quit firing. The theory of operation is just like my 3.1 Lumina...but I'm still having probs. Thanks heaps, bstrom. |

I had a 2.5 that the ign. modual went bad, got a new one from Advance Auto Parts, it lasted a year. Got another and it was bad out of the box, returned it for another, and so far its still working. Be warned, i also had it to stop running for no reason only to start after a cool down, it was the (also from Advance) crankshaft sensor, one of the small contacts in the end broke off and would loose contact when hot. Not that it is your problem, but just a word of waring about how good, or should i say, bad.. these parts are. 16.00 approx. for a cps, and a new modual is what i would do. |
