2000 - B4000 Timing Chain - Belt.

Hello,

I own a 2000 - B4000 truck, it has 100,000 K or 60,000 M on it. I was wondering if this truck has a timing chain or belt? What ever it is, at what interval of time should I change it?

Thanks to all.

Toby

Re: 2000 - B4000 Timing Chain - Belt.

I had a '96 B3000 v-6. It had a chain. Of course, chains usually last much longer than a belt. I've heard they are good for 125,000 miles plus. I'd call the dealer to see what their recommendation is. It's probably in the owner's manual.
