Chirping wheel noise....
I have a 01 Sahara that started having a chirping noise. It comes and goes, and I don't hear it when brakes are applied, but three different mechanics have checked and tell me nothing is wrong witht the brakes. It's not a belt or engine noise. It happens even rolling with engine off.
Any ideas?

Re: Chirping wheel noise....
research angry sparrows in the forum. what happened is the u joints or the centering ball assembly in the double cardon u joint is dryed up and need to be regreased. you need to catch it quick because mine wore out out completely and i need to get a new front driveshaft now

Re: Chirping wheel noise....
it can be a diy job but it requires speacial tools. If you can find a shop that will just regrease it go for it but most would probably try and sell you a rebuilt driveshaft go to stusoffroad.com i think thats what it is and look for rebuilding front driveshaft on his web site it is very indepth and helpful
