Caravan power windows

I'm still having problems with the driver's side power window on my 2001 Caravan SE. A mechanic friend of mine took off the door panel and lubricated and tapped the regulator motor and now it works BUt often I have to slam the door to GET it to work. Does that sound like the motor is bad or possibly something else????????

Re: Caravan power windows

I believe this is the first time (on these forums) that I've heard of the power window motor itself going out. The regulator seems to be the far more typical problem (just replaced *both* of my PW regulators last month when their cables broke), but of course you get to pay for a new motor when replacing the regulator assembly.
