2000 Ninja ZX-12

Started on this today
it will look something like this bike when done, maybe a few other custom things on it.

some progress on the engine.
for the rad hoses i used heat shrink tubing, and a little white and black pastel weathering,

Re: 2000 Ninja ZX-12

did some work on the exhuast.
Tamiya did a good job of hiding the seam on the canister but it is still there so i sanded and filled it then made a template of the part using masking tape, then transfered that to some BMF and covered the whole thing with a piece of BMF. then i used some metal polish on it to shine it up.
and the heat staining on the tip is done with food coloring

its this stuff.

to use it i mix any color with 1 small drop of tamiya clear yellow and mix it together, the clear paint makes it stick. I mix this on an old cd case or somehting. then let the color sit for a minute or so then drybrush this onto the part like you would with any paint.

the stuff dries in only a few seconds and doesn't rub off or anything. and you can make all kinds of colors

Re: 2000 Ninja ZX-12

well I did some body work.
I used TS-52 candy lime green, right now these parts have one clear coat, but I'm going to go over all these with one more coat of the green still. then I'll paint the black areas

I also noticed that the inside of the body work on this bike is also the same color as the outside not black like most bikes, this makes the painting go faster! lol

heres some pics.

I also ordered some detail parts, crazy modeler PE set, some model factory hiro leather cloth for the seat, and some CF decals, so I figure by the time that stuff comes the paint should be nice and dry lol
