Dual exhaust not real

I took a look underneath the car 1997 Lincoln and the dual exhaust is not real. Was going to put 2 40 flow master mufflers on the car. Now I think I should put a high flow cat and a 2.50 " pipe to one 50 series muffler and leave the other muffler not hooked into the new line.


I think it would sound better and work better as one line than splicing the line into two for decoration.

What you think about fake dual exhaust performance compared to single muffler systems?
