Ram Air

Anybody know if there is some kind of air restrictor in the ram air intake on a 03 Grand Am GT with a 3400 V6? Someone told me that there might be one and if so to take it out to get better air induction. I don't know squat about this. Any help out there? I don't understand why a ram air system would have one.

Re: Ram Air

They didnt put any restrictors in the Ram air units.

Though you could have a bird or some other foreign object that flew into the ram air.
I find lots of bugs in mine

Re: Ram Air

the RAM AIR in GT's are just about worthless... they don't really do much more than an SE's, except they might sound cooler
