Exclamation Online Purchases Question, Howell Automotive

I bought from Howell Automotive on 3/12 Crower Spring/Retainer kit. I've still yet to get them in. I've called numerous times asking where they were and what was going on, you know, just checking seeing how it was going. They said they needed to be ordered from Crower. Fine, no biggy. They said they would call with any info.

Couple weeks later I called them up because still no tracking number, so I called. They're like, ya we're still waiting on them from Crower. We're going to call them to see where they are. I'll call you back in a couple days. I gave them 2 weeks, still nothing. I said I wanted my money back, and they said if the order went through with Crower, they can't return, but will let me know.

Called a couple more time, same thing.

Called again (more recent), this time bitching. "Oh yea, I called the Crower rep and they'll be here by Friday. Then you'll have them by next week. That was 2 weeks ago. I was about to call and bitch them out to high heaven, and then threaten them with a lawsuit if I don't get my money in full back, but wanted to check to see what you guys think I should do.

I NEED THESE NOW!! This is the only piece I need to complete the head!! And it's annoying me all crazy.

Your time frame is not adding up to me. Ordered on 5/12...today is 5/29...that's 17 days...which is a little over 2 weeks total time from date of order to today. You make it sound like months in how you describe the order of calls you made.

i had a problem like this a while ago, they wouldn't ship my item, took them about 1 month, i called them and asked for my money back and they said they were gonna ship it next day i said fine, but i still contacted the BBB and i got my money back in about a week.

i didnt tell them i was gonna take any actions, i just got the phone and called BBB, because i knew if i told them, they were gonna make it sound like they were really gonna ship my shit fast, 2 days after i called the BBB, the company that was suppossed to ship my stuff called me saying they wanted to setle everything and to call them back but i never called them.


I think you should just call the BBB and tell them that howell automotive is not keeping their word about shipping your stuff and that they wont give your money back. i think you should be able to get your money back man.

you can do it online, i just realized right now that i called when we reported the realtor or whatever you call them, but for my stuff i did it online. pretty straight forward. www.bbb.com

In the mean time I ordered from another shop. They had them instock (I called). So my boy ordered them with his credit card. I'll have them by next week.

I just want my money back from Howell. Nothing more.

Update on this:
Got a call from Howell today asking why I lied to BBB. After a while of arguing about who is at fault (Crower apparently), they are upgrading me to the Crane Springs and Retainers at no additional cost. They said they sent numerous email to me, none which I recieved. Anywho, it's being shipping out today or Monday, and then I'm going to call off the complaint.

It turns out they could never get a hold of Crower at any time. Long story short, problem is being solved. I didn't want it to go to the BBB, but now I'm seeing results. Howell is a good shop and are well respected, and they seem to be taking care of the problems.
