Failed Smog Check.

on my 1993 buick regal.

due to the check engine light not coming on or working. i never noticed that it didnt come on when i started the car. bought the car 2 weeks ago. the shop owner said it could be a burnt bulb or the previous owner had it cut off due to something else.

is there anywhere you'd suggest i check before i take off the dash and check to see if the bulb is burnt?

the car runs fine and passed the emissions part with no problem , except i barely passed the "HC (PPM)". the max is a 84 and i measured a 83 , shop owner recommended i try to use different gas. any input?

fixed. Burnt Bulb. New problem the light is on.... :/

the light stays on and your talking about bulb in dash? souds like they did cut a wire somewhere because of this problem of check engine lite being on and they could'nt find out why it stayed on. may i add thats a crook deal doing shit like that.
