Wheels/Tires

Ive drawn a few different cars, and they normally turn out okay...however the biggest problem I have is drawing wheels and tires. do you guys have any pointers on drawing these? should i use a compass to make the circles?

Re: Wheels/Tires

Practice drawing ellipses. Draw many, many, many circles everyday. That's how you learn. This is basics in transportation design courses. Every car designer practice drawing circles and ellipses everyday. It wouldn't hurt buying a ellipse tool to see which certain angle degrees are used at certain perspective points.

Re: Wheels/Tires

I have just the thing for you! I drew up a layout on drawing wheels in the simplest form to understand for beginners. Tthis is not ment to put you down, you have to check it out! its soo easy to draw it once you understand the basics.....The layout is on my comp... i have to e-mail it to you.. or you'll have to wait till i up load it to my photobucket so i can post it on here! either way just let me know... It will help you verry much! I drew it to start a custom "how to" video for drawing in M.S.paint for easy understanding!
