How much to replace all the interior in a 78' Vette?


im looking at this 78' vette and the people are asking 7995$ for which is to high but the interior needs to be redone dash is a mess not sure if all gauges work, the red seat are now black anc red so dirty, all the carpert need to be redone stain and sun faded needs new door panel they are falling off and dont work properly so how much do u think it would cost to be professionally redone capret,door panels, dash,seats

it's not cheap anywhere. redoing an entire interior really does cost that much.

It may be better to shop around for reproduction parts.

Repro carpets are widely available. There are seat recovering kits available.

I am not sure about door panels, used pieces may be your only option.

As noted above, interior work, especially custom work is expensive.

IMAO Corvette stuff, even used items seems to be more expensive than average partly because many Vette owners have deep pockets and are obsessed about originality. Usually they can afford to have things done right and tend to drive up the price of the excellent used and repro pieces out there.

A friend of mine got the interior of his car redone recently. He has a 72 porsche 912, so it would have been more expensive than your vette. It only cost him 4 grand for seats and siding. Carpet is probably a tough one though. I would look for a shop that would do it for 6 grand... If you buy replacement seats and carpet, it wouldn't cost you 8 grand anyways...
