2000 Cavelier Coolant Overflow
I have a 2000 Cavalier 2.2 liter puddle jumper, loosing coolant. We pressure tested the system with no results and finally tracked down the loss to the overflow hose, where the engine pisses out the majority of the coolant within an hour of the themostat opening. The fan kicks on at 190 fine. To be on the safe side I replaced the thermostat with no improvement. I can only think there is a restriction in the cooling system, upper and lower hoses are going to run another $100. The return hose from the overflow feels full. Has anyone run into this issue before?

Re: 2000 Cavelier Coolant Overflow
Well it sounds as if you have a possible blockage somewhere. If not, its from the outlet of the thermostat housing to the return hose. so its possible it could be upper-lower hoses, but check for any blockage. and go from there.
