Exaust Question

What would you guys recommend as the best exaust? I just want a muffler and then dump it right after the muffler, no pipes coming out the back. I want it to sound agressive but little cab noise. Also how much should i expect to pay for this kind of setup.

Re: Exaust Question

i suggest a Aero Turbine AT 3030 my 2 of my friends have it dumped just liek your talking about and IMO they sound better than a flowmaster or magnaflow as a matter of fact my friend had a Flowmaster and just through it away when he got this Aero Turbine i plan on getting one when i get the money there nice man

Re: Exaust Question

I had a single in dual out Borla muffler on my 5.3L. Very little, if any, cab resonance. A nice tone while cruising, but when you WOT it screamed beautifully. I paid $200 for the muffler and installation. As well ast the two turn down pipes (approx. 7").

I received so many compliments on it (girls and guys). I always enjoyed them from the older truck guys who typically hate loud exhausts.

After 7 years when i sold it, had no rust.

Also, do a search. There are endless threads on this.

Re: Exaust Question

Why spend money on a muffler when your V8 has all the sound you want. Just cut the muffler off.. you can do it yourself. My truck rumbles and grumbles just as good if not better than the high priced mufflers. AND you will not get the cab resonance either.

Re: Exaust Question

DON'T go with MAGNAFLOW. Lot's of resonance, I actually had to put a resonator in to help with the resonance. I was actually talking with the Muffler shop guys and within the span of 4 months they had 6 guys come back with Magnaflow Exhaust wanting them to help with the Resonance problem. What does Magnaflow say, "Well if you don't like it Tough!" No returns on noise problems.....

You know what's funny is that I was looking at the Aero Turbine one before I got this one. I'm so mad that I didn't get one of those. I should have bought two of those for my dual exhaust system. Oh well, my truck sounds pretty good now with the Magnaflow Dual exhaust with a Flowmaster Resonator...

I'd go with the Aero if you've got time to save...
