Question Vacuum Advance Disconnected

I bought a 68 B from a shop which had rebuilt the car & engine. It started easily and ran fine. I installed platinum plugs and an electronic ignition from Victoria British. The cars still runs great. Plugs stay very clean, slight black smoke at exhaust. Noticed that the thin copper vacuum advance tubing coming out of distributor is broken off about 1" from distributor and the rest of the line is missing. The car has had most? of the emissions equipment removed.
Do I need to replace the vacuum advance? I guess the centrifugal advance is working. The car has plenty of power, will run 80mph easily with plenty of pedal left.
Thanks for any ideas.
Mike
