Midget won't shift into reverse

My dad has a 75 Midget, manual, that I cannot shift into reverse. The shift lever won't push down. I looked at it from underneath on a lift but couldn't see much. Anyone have any ideas?

Dave,

Reverse is pull up and to the top right. Give that a try.
