Re: airbag fault code?
Yep, that's a code 42. According to the factory service manual, that code indicates "Center Radiator Primary Crash Sensor Feed/Return Open."

Re: airbag fault code?
thx alot for your help, but do you have any ideas what it could be. we checked for plugs by the rad and for the rad cap to be on all the way. so far seems fine tho.

Re: airbag fault code?
The code would indicate there appears to be an open circuit condition in either the power or the ground circuit. I try to stay away from diagnosing airbag issues since they can become dangerous and expensive in a hurry if you don't have the proper tools, so I don't have any more advice for you.

Re: airbag fault code?
The first thing I would consider doing is pulling the steering wheel and unplugging the trigger plug (found behind the air bag device itself, the passenger's side airbag can be disabled the same way without removal). After that, I'm wondering if a volt/ohm meter could fire the air bags. A Hayne's manual would be very helpful here.
