Re: Easiest Way

I don't know much about electronic starters....but I DO know quite a few on ignitions itself. I had a break in last month and the SoB tore up my cloumn and jammed my IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER. This is prolly the piece you want to replace rather than an electric hassle. Either that or the ignition switch might be shot. There are a couple of sites online that tell you "how to replace an ignition lock cylinder" on Google. But do whatever. Just some food for thought..... Good Luck.

Re: Easiest Way

You could just run new wires to the starter solenoid from the push button you're installing on the dash.

The starter would still work if the keys weren't in the ignition, but the engine wouldn't start, unless you took power from a switched power source like your stereo power.

Maybe not the best way - but you asked for the easiest!

Good luck with it!
