Question what the diff with GTR 34 and GTR 34 V-spec?

What is the difference between the normal GTR and GTR V-spec? Or V-spec II?

The V-Spec has a performance package. Mostly suspension and other stuff. I think, but I am not sure, the V-Spec and V-Spec II have more horsepower.

Your pretty much correct on that DVS, although, I haven't read up to the date specs on a Vspec 2, but I'm sure you are correct.

Negative....exact same horsepower, exact same torque, exact same drivetrain. V-Spec and V-Spec II have improved suspension/Attessa system, badging, and rear air dam...some other aesthetic item too...can't remember right this second. Like I've said a hundred times, with the four-five thousand dollars you'll save by buying the Standard GTR, you can buy aftermarket shocks, rims, and tires, and have a faster, better handling car than the V-Spec.

A couple things I'm sure the V-spec II has over the original V-spec is the carbon fiber hood with the NACA air duct on it. The II also has the carbon fiber front and rear underbody diffusers which smooth out the airflow on the bottom of the car. They also made the lights up front clear instead of orange.

When I bought my Vspec 2, I was told that the car has more torque than the Vspec. I am not sure tho because I didn't really spend time studying both Vspec and Vspec 2's spec.

HEY GTR WANNABES AND POSEURS AND " I'LL HAVE A BIT OF A GUESS HERE TOO" - READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH, IF YOU DON'T WANT THE TRUTH P1SS OFF BACK TO DREAMWORLD FROM WHENCE YOU CAME.

I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A COURT CASE HERE IN AUSTRALIA REGARDING MY R33 GTR , THIS WAS SOLD TO ME AS A V SPEC, IT ISN'T AND I AM SUING THE DEALER THAT SOLD IT TO ME, SO LET ME TELL YOU, I NOW KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A V SPEC AND A STANDARD GTR BECAUSE THE PROOF WILL BE USED IN COURT.

R33 SERIES: MECHANICALLY THEY ARE IDENTICAL, SAME POWER AND TORQUE, SAME BRAKES, WHEELS, INTERIOR, BODY ETC ETC ETC.

STD. GTR - REAR DIFFERENTIAL IS LSD (LIMITED SLIP DIFF)

V SPEC - REAR DIFF IS ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED, SO DRIVE IS CONTROLLED NOT JUST FRONT TO BACK BUT ALSO SIDE TO SIDE.
AS SOMEONE ELSE SAID ABOVE, THE COMPUTER WORKS FASTER TO SENT THE TORQUE TO THE FRONT.

AIR FENCES ATTCHED TO THE FRONT SUSPENSION DIRECT COOL AIR TO THE FRONT BRAKES.

ON THE DASH IS A WARNING LIGHT " A-LSD" THE TELLS YOU WHEN A PROBLEM ARISES WITH THE COMPUTER.

V IS LOWER AND FIRMER SUSPENSION.

HERE IS A V SPEC DIFF PHOTO

MORE TO COME....
ADAM

WEIGHT - THEY ARE BOTH ALMOST IDENTICAL, THE V SPEC IS LESS THAN 20 KILOGRAMS HEAVIER, YES HEAVIER BECAUSE OF THE EXTRA HYDRAULIC PUMP AND SYSTEMS.

THERE ARE ACTUALLY AROUND 1000 PARTS THAT ARE DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE 2 CARS.

A "Q" IN THE CHASSIS NUMBER DESIGNATES A NON V SPEC CAR.

OUT OF AROUND 20,000 R33 GTRS SOLD, JUST 2000 ODD WERE V SPECS.

THE PRICE DIFFERENCE WHEN SOLD NEW IN JAPAN IS (YEN) 5.390MILLION (V SPEC) AND THEN 4.885MILLION FOR STANDARD GTR.
(THIS WAS CURRENT AT JAN 1998)

HERE IS STANDARD GTR REAR DIFF

Whats with the attitude? I think its pretty much been clarifed that the basic differences are the ATTESA System and thats pretty much useless when the GTR is running a higher end power.....

And in addition to that, you might want to type in lower cases, we don't need to be yellin' in here unless you have a problem. Thanks for the additional, already provided, info.

Hey Adam, looke like you are really pissed off. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate dispute. Hope you'd get proper remedies for that.
After checking all the V-Spec list, its confirmed, mine is a V-Spec....for whatever it's worth.
