oil pump install vortex 4.3

on a 4.3 vortex motor the oil pump came with a plastic collar in the box
what is this for lmddmc

It couples the oil pump to the oil pump shaft.
Put it on the oil pump drive gear shaft and push the oil pump drive shaft on or into it and you are set to go.
