What kind of freon do I have
I have a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer 4.3 and I am trying to figure out what type of freon the AC has in it, is it a standard or will it have to be converted to this new type? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Re: What kind of freon do I have
2001 is R-134a
But do not go to so a called parts place and get the recharge death kits with stop leak and oil added to the R-134a can of gas. Only add pure R-134a if needed. It is best to use a AC recharge gauge set with high and low pressure gauges. Them one hose one stop and go gauge and stop leak and oil added to the can can get your AC into a lot of hurt. MT

Usually there is a AC sticker somplace under hood that gives the info on kind and amount of gas and oil it takes. M
