Re: Transmission question

define BEST...

obviously, a strong one is a good place to start.

what you need to tell us is how you are using the engine and the vehicle
are you drag racing, towing a boat, off-roading, driving on the street, ect...
also, do you want a manual or an automatic?
what vehicle is it going in?
what is wrong with your current trans?

you see where this is going?

Re: Transmission question

Thank for responses. The point is that it's current transmission cannot be used for driving on streets and i'm looking for the one that can. It doesn't really matter if it's a manual or an automatic it just has to be strong enough.

Re: Transmission question

I dont really get what you mean by "drive on the streets". I'm assuming that you're saying that the transmission is failing. Just check out a bunch of places to see the transmissions they offer for your engine. THEN, go online and check out people's opinions of them OR compare their specifications.

What i'm trying to say is that if I recommend some tranny (which I can't because I don't know what fits your engine), you might not be able to find that model in your area anyways. Start backwards. Find transmissions then find recommendations, not the other way around.
