Fast car?....

Ok... So I've been told that a 4G63T can be swapped into the hyundai accent.... (4G63T being the motor used in first & second Generation mitsubishi eclipses and Eagle talons and Evos) I have an 07 GS There is supposed to be a mounting kit for both the motor and the transmission plus a wire harness...

Basically, as light as these cars are, and considering that my first two tuners didnt work out. It makes sense that my daily driver should be ridiculously fast... (they run mid 12s after this swap)

Has anyone any knowledge as to where this swap kit can be found....

Re: Fast car?....

I've heard of people swapping in the Beta 1.0 or 2.0 in the 96 Elantras and 4 cyl Tibs, but I've only heard of the 4g63 and 4g63t 's into Excels and Elantras. Never into a Accent. I could be wrong tho.

Re: Fast car?....

Yes you can swap a 4G63 in an Accent but you would need the last version (from the Evo 6) because early version aren't in the same configuration as the alpha engine. (those engines are around 4000$)

The easy and "have-being-done-a-lot" way is to swap a Beta 1 (98-00 Accent) or a Beta 2 (01-06 accent).
