JL audio vs. sony xplod

this is my situation i have 2 guys saleing 3 subs that are 12" 1 guy is saleing a JL audio w3 for 250 and another guy is saleing a sony xplod for 100....i havent gone and check them out but from you all that know about this brands which one should i buy by knowing about the brand of the subs?

All of sony xplod's stuff is over-rated in power and sounds like crap in use. JL has proven itself over the years with good quality products and are very accurate about power ratings and also sound pretty good when installed.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

I had a friend ask me about a similar comparison... he had the conception that sony was a good brand and plunked down $800 for sony stuff...

of course they had to be compared to xplode, but what the hey...

Just about anything will be recommended over Sony without argument
