Heater Core Discharge/Intake Hose

Hi,
Yesterday my 98 Taurus had the Steel heater core discharge/intake hose brake. Only a small steel piece that has two or three hoses running to/from it...The Steel Line which I am reffering to is attached to the fire wall. I have tried getting the part at a local Auto part store but they say they do not carry it. Am I not referring to this part propperly? What is this part really called so that I can ask/look for it? Where can I find the steel hose or parts that I need on the web? The steel line is only 6" or so long and I can see the pin hole on the line...Looks like I could run a bead of solder over it and it would be fine but I know this is not the correct fix and I need to replace it..It is bolted to the fire wall and runs to the overflow container. Of all the pieces that are there this is the only part that is metal and it breaks...Great! It looks like it is a little difficult to get to but I want to fix it my self especially since I see where it is broken. It seems like the only way to best describe the part propperly is to take it out. I don't want to take it to a repair shop unless I have to....Any advice on the best way to find and replace this part?
