'92 Silverado shifting issue

Hello. have a new auto tranny installed a couple of months ago...It seemed fine until the other day...when tranny upshifts to 1st it seems to stay there longer than it should getting to 2nd gear...it is the 700R4 with overdrive..truck has 240,000 miles..could this be a solenoid/electrical issue (shifter)?.....thanks, Pete

700R4 does not use solenoids to shift. The 1st thing you should do is readjust the TV cable. See http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Inst...ble_adjust.htm

If it only happens when the tranny is hot, it could be a sticking TV valve.
