A/C Help please

Can anyone tell me where the ORIFICE TUBE is located on my 2005 Impala SS? According to replacement data, I am told it's either at the evaporator end or the condensor end....anyone know which for sure? Thanks

Re: A/C Help please

are u trying to add refrigerant? If so, its the smaller of the 2 fittings. Just follow the lines from the compressor. They have to be accessible and they have black plastic caps screwed onto the fittings which can make them harder to see.

No, I am familiar with the service fittings, I am replacing the orifice tube with a higher-performance one and needed to know which one I presently have (evap or cond) so I can order it.
