New Mini Cooper S (Lots of pics)

Here's the New Mini Cooper S modded from a Revell Mini Cooper. I kinda rush on making this one, so it's a very bad attempt!

It's made from a Revell kit
I added rear top spoiler, antenna and "S" badging.
The wheels are Fujimi RS Watanabe, trying to simulate the Mini Cooper S' 8 spoke wheels.
Holes are cut in the rear bumper with mesh inserted. Front lower openning is widen, and also with mesh. A hole is cut in the bonnet for the supercharger application.

The car is lower about 1cm. I tried to push the front bumper up, but it won't, so that's why you see a huge gap there.

Thanks. Yeah, the bumper is ashame. I wouldn't call the hood stripes missing, cause it's actually an option.

BTW, I don't understand, "Drive By Braille"?

looks good.

Would that rear spoiler actually do anything for the aero dynamics?

Thumbs up Kick S!

Cool conversion! If Revell ever bothers to upgrade their kit to an S, I'll have a go at one. I see new Minis all over the place, and lots of the Cooper S as well. They are really cool cars.

The front bumper isn't a great fit because of the way they designed the chassis interferance and how the lower grille fits into the bumper slot. I had test fit mine several times to get it to work, and installed the grille to the bumper first-not to the main body.

That's a term that's been used for incompetent drivers who parallel park their cars by feel, meaning backing up until they hit the car behind them, then move forward until they hit the car in front, repeating the process until they eventually get into the parking spot. The front bumper on the Mini looks like a victim of a drive-by-braille episode.

yeah sorry about the die-cast comment. lol, for some reason the finish just looked die-cast, don't ask me why. i thought you had taken a Mini diecast and had modified it. oh well, good job on it! someone should come out with a mini cooper S kit soon...

A good conversion, if you had spent a little more time adjusting the fit of the front bumper it would be greatly improved - looks like the missus took it out to go down the shops and had a slight prang!

Where did u source the extra parts from?

thug: I don't know if the spoiler will actually do anything, but it sure looks cool with it

ZoomZoom: Thanks for clearing things up! The bumper, well, if I ever do this kit again, I'll try harder!

AccordTypeR: I think they are the same price as the ITR kits.

S13_Iketani: Don't worry, no harm done

FOTW: The antenna is from the Tamiya S2000. Wheels are Fujimi RS Watanabe. Everything else is styrene sheets and putty

Thanks guys! I'm going to spend more time and effort on my next project!
