Odd Wiper problem!

Hi all again. I'm having a wierd problem with my front wipers. If I turn the corner either left or right my wipers will start up and sometimes will sweep once and shut off and sometimes they will keep running until I turn the switch on and then off. Could it be the control on the steering column? It's a 1997 Plymouth Voyager. Thanks in advance for any idea's.

Probably the switch on the steering column, if you have not had the clockspring cable changed behind the steering wheel, good time to do it.
