Blazer Problems

I'll post this for reference. I sent this to the advisors, moderators, in an effort for some help;

"This has been puzzling me for awhile. The '98 blazer I have is troubling me. At 2110 rpm always there, I get this slight pull back in power, you can feel it, and I have no answers to this. Threw a scanner on this, took it for a spin all looks good. Timing advance looks right, no blimps, TPS, MAF, all sensors look good. 02 sensors look good( just replaced recently, was there before sensor replacement anyway) Fuel pressure is good, full tune up. Only problem is that my scanner does not give me EGR values(its an upgrade and I havn't got it). Also a couple of months ago I got a PO460 EVAP code, cleared, checked hoses and stuff, the code hasn't come back. Anyone have an idea, only at 2110(give or take) RPM. Idles good, all else is fine....Stumped Thanks in advance."

First thanks to the people that responded, and gave me some ideas, and reaffirmed my thoughts on what it might have been. After finally getting a chance to play with it, I went ahead and disconnected the EGR connector and went for a spin. That was it. I couldn't believe the difference in performance/power. The truck never threw a code, which told me the EGR was working, just was not working that good. I went ahead and cleaned the EGR, threw it back on and all is good for another day.

Just thought I'd post this incase someone was having similar problems and not sure what it might be.

Damn, I read your message and was going to think about it a little before responding and forgot all about it. I'm glad to see that you got it figured out. Thanks for posting it for everyone.

Re: Blazer Problems

I am having a very similar issue and either tonight or tomorrow I will be pulling and cleaning mine. Possibly finding that screened gasket I keep hearing about.
