Unhappy Repair Manual Recommendation

Anyone out there recommend a manual for basic repairs and maintenance for my 2003 ZTW? How about Chiltons or Haynes? Is one better than the other? I'm kind of staying away from the manuals available on CD / DVD as I like to have the manual out in the driveway with me...getting it covered with grease, dirt and beer!

This may sound crazy, but I'd rather wrench on my Focus or have the local mechanic have a look...haven't had much luck with the local Ford dealership!

Re: Repair Manual Recommendation

Go to helminc.com to order factory service manuals. For the money you can't beat these manuals. Haynes and Chiltons cost less but you get much less information in return. I have the factory manuals for several of my vehicles and wouldn't buy anything else. You can buy the paper manuals or CD versions from them. Like you, I like to have the actual manual to take with me where I need to use it rather then a CD.
