Replacing Pull Handle above Passnger Airbag
Has anyone here ever replaced the pull handle above the passenger airbag? I have a 2001 Safari and one side of this pull handle was pulled out of its mounting bolt.
I really need to fix this as its true design intent is to deflect the air bag toward the passenger instead of up into the windshield. GM just got clever and called it a pull handle. Anyway, I'm not sure if it is as simple as snapping the new piece onto the old bolts or if it gets really hairy and I have to remove the IP. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Re: Replacing Pull Handle above Passnger Airbag
You can access this grab handle after the airbag is removed. You do not need to remove the dash, but you do need to remove the center console, then the right lower section and then the passenger airbag. Afer that you will have access to the bolts that secure the handle
