This car was my baby. It actually hurts to sell it but things (hospital bills) have come up and I can't keep it. It was bought two summers ago as a replacement for my totaled '92 240SX. It was bought from San Diego Auto Gallery for $10,500. They were asking $11,500 but I got a discount for paying cash. It is finished in a very nice pearl white that is still reflective and shiny to this day with gray and black interior. Of course, it is a five speed and had a new exhaust on it when I bought it. The car has a total of 117,000 miles on it but has been incredibly well taken care of. At the 100,000 mile mark, I did a complete maintenance of the engine and all wear/tear parts were replaced. At this time, a new OEM clutch was put in as well so the clutch has about 17,000 miles on it. The engine is very clean and looks like a two year old engine instead of a ten year old one. It has also never seen anything but Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and had new tires w/ warranty put on just five days ago on Thursday. Additionally, it has a new Panasonic deck with MP3 and auxiliary input support.
Anyways, on to the downsides and there are only a few but I would like to mention them. The car was bumped into very lightly in a parking lot accident (or it could have been vandalism but it doesn't look like it) putting a dent on the drivers side rear quarter panel and cracking/chipping the paint on the rear bumper. None of the things mentioned are large at all and everything should be relatively inexpensive to fix comparatively. I'll include pictures at the bottom of this post. Due to the current problems I am having in my personal life that I mentioned above, I had dropped my insurance down temporarily to liability a month or two before it happened which is the only reason it wasn't immediately fixed. Either way, overall, the body is still in great condition.
Anyways, the car is located in Santa Barbara, CA, about one hour north of Los Angeles. I am willing to negotiate a price so I don't have one set in stone but my starting price is somewhere around $8500. My personal issues that are causing me to sell the car would be alleviated by this but it is not a desperate situation so I would like a fair price. Also, I am hoping to use the cash to pay off the hospital bills and then would most likely spend the remaining money on a '90-92 240SX so I would be willing to make some sort of trade for cash and an older good condition 240.
Here are a bunch of pictures from a while back and included at the bottom are two pictures of the problems I mentioned above. The latter two were taken today so I could show the issues I mentioned. I apologize about the quality in comparison as they were taken on my Motorola RIZR camera phone. One thing to note is that the deck it shows is not the current one. It has been upgraded as mentioned above.
