$600 to replace ps pump and hose?

I have a '00 Grand Am SE 6 cylinder. It was making a weird squeaking noise this morning and it was super loud when I tried to turn the wheel.

I took it in and they said I have to get a new power steering pump and a driveline hose or something like that.

Anyways, does $600 for parts and labor sound right? I am so depressed!

Re: $600 to replace ps pump and hose?

Welcome to AF.

The pump is around $125-150, two hose are around $300+ then labor, that sounds about right.
And prices do very a little from state to state.
