85 6.9l F250 Problem!

ok, i have a problem, much like everyone else does.

so, we had the truck running, it would run fine, we could let it sit, and start it right back up. then we shut it off, and now it wont start again....were not getting fuel anywhere....i climbed under the truck, checked out the thing right next tothe gas tank, and fuel runs from that just fine....and followed the fuel line back to the engine bay and found the first part that i could disconnect and fuel doesn't even get to that part...we undid both sides of that line and blew air through it just to make sure that it wasn't clogged. air passed through fine, hokoed everything back up and still no fuel....

now im curious, does that mean the fuel pump is busted? anddoes the fuel pump suck the fuel as well as push it up to the fuel filter??
