Super Troopers? I think not...

So today started out just like any other day, I was on my way to school....

Just got outside of town (literally like just past the corp limit sign) when I pass a statey, and he whips it around and follows me for about a minute then flips his lights on. Pulls me over for window tint, checks my stuff and then he asks me to step out of the car, pats me down asks if I have any weapons blah blah blah.... He looks at my public vin number ( the one etched into your dash) and then looks inside my drivers side door. He walks over and tells me that my vin number on my door doesn't match the public vin, then he goes on to tell me that neither of those two numbers are actually on my registration. Then asked if my door was ever replaced....

It was a salvage rebuilt title, so I told him possibly not 100% sure. The mirror on there is a power mirror, and since mine isn't a Z24, I don't have power mirrors, plus when I replaced the speakers in the door, there was an aftermarket speaker in the right door and A factory speaker in the driver door, which leads me to believe that that door was replaced.

So I went from going to school, to sitting in the back of his car for close to an hour while he tried to verify stuff. To make things better/worse... I couldn't find my title to the car, and neither could my mom or dad. So we're pretty much going on my word, which if you looked at me you could see why the cop was sckeptical. Long hair, goofy ears, lip ring, black band shirt with a skull on it... I have bad news written all over me, lmao...

So he tells me he's going to have my car towed to Craigs Auto Salvage. he asked if I had ever had it towed, and I told him no, we tried to get it onto a trailer one time with ramps and it wouldn't make it because it was too steep... So he let me follow him to the towing place and they impound my car until I can proof that the car is mine... FUCKING PIG....

I make some calls, we go to the bank get a copy of the title and march back there title in hand, he lets it go appologizes for everything, reminds me to take my tint off, not going to charge me with anything but to take it off...

Now I head over to DMV and have to re-register my car to myself...hmm... and they try to charge me, I have to pitch a bitch fit about paying the fee, the manager comes over I explain everything and how my day has sucked and nearly having an anxiety attack.. she waves the fee and calls it a "deputy" fee, since it was their fault in the first place... The title certification number on the title and the registration matched, but the vin was typed in wrong. and I have no idea why they weren't even alike, the first 3 letters were the same then the rest diff...


But I did clean and wax my car today, and I did snap some pics... so we can see how pretty it is before I have to rip the tint off the front windows and windshield































and one more for the beautiful sexy tint... oh how I'l miss you...

mine's not a z24 and it came with power mirrors, i have a power sunroof too

I have 2001 Z24 and I have manual mirrors, manual locks, and manual windows. Power sunroof tho BTW nice Killswitch Engage shirt...hope you blast that in your cav driving around town, I know I do.

I just cant believe he went into that depth of lookin over your car, i mean shit if he was matchin VIN numbers he shoulda poped the hood n looked on the block n read the numbers off there lol, prolly didnt wanna get his hands dirty. I mean did u piss him off at all? when he initially pulled you over? did ya do the whole "yes sir, no sir routine"? did all of your paper work check out? cause i mean he really didnt have a reason to take you outta the car up till that point, unless he felt threatened but even then, over stupid tint.

The paperwork didn't check out, with the vin thing.. that's how we got on that discussion... and no he wasn't a dick about it... too bad, I love that tint...

just take the tint off the front windshield if its on there. leave the rest.

the car looks hot all in all... but for me im not to crazy about that kit IMO/.. that just me... personally but not a fan of dropping my car.. not with the bumpy roads in my town but, your car would look better dropped... just my 2 cents.... Car is awsome tho.. Keep it up.....

F*ck the cops Derk. I have been pulled over for speeding, in my 2.2 I had with 20% tin, and the windshield had a bottom and top strip, about 1- inches between them of normal windshield, got told to take it off....never did, never got in trouble.....leave it all on, cops are just trying to say what they think is right. also take mroe interior pics, mine's pretty much up to par with yours, you mentioned yours was improperly painted, no primer or clearcoat, mines all proper. even still though, that big piece hugging the windshield is still black, its too hard to get out. I dont know what to do about it. BUTT my car is in my driveway with a blown engine and I need 900$ and i got no job or anything so it will be months before its fixed. my paypal is always open to spare change, [email protected] it is. Would help greatly. ANyways post some interior pics, and good luck with getting the car out............I hate cops too, I hatem, around here, they are pretty nice but how they follow me for half hour and pull me over then or take off just to be a dick.....don't like em, next time, make sure you blast the Super Troopers german techno when he pulls you over. And video it ha!
