It's going to depend on the condition of the car. It also depends who youre buying it from. There's a difference in buying a car from a sand lot used dealer and say, buying it from a friend who took care of the car.
Some makes are known for their reliability, while others, not so much. For $2000, we'd need some more information to help you out in your decision.
