89 beretta custom intake problem help

i have a 89 beretta gt 2.8,5 speed. i put a custom intake on it, took the orginially air box out and hose. then i put on K&N cone filter, rubber cupler, custom bent pipe, K&N Breather filter. and also relocated the IAT Sensor. The car runs fine with it cold for like 10 mins but when the car's temperature gauge gets to about a quarter, the service engine soon light comes on. there is also a smell coming from the cat now. when the service engine soon light comes on and i shut the car off and then start it again the service engine soon light doesnt come on..i have never had any more problem with this car, the service engine soon light has never came on before. I dont know if its the IAT sensor or its the breather filter thats causing the service engine soon light to come on. Oh Lord!!!!!what have i done???? HELP HELP HELP!!!!!

Re: 89 beretta custom intake problem help

Probably the IAT sensor tripping the light. Since that is an OBDI car you can pull the codes manually with a paper clip or some other sort of jumper and then check to see what they are.
