9.8:1 compression
What octane gas will i need to use on my P29 piston D16a6 hybrid motor i just built? Calculations added up to 9.8:1.

i would run 91 or higher octane, which is premium gas for us

yeah i wouldnt run anything less than 91 octane.

9.8:1 compression is nothing. You could run on 89 octane if you got your timing right, but it'd be safer to run 91. I've seen guys running 13:1 on 91octane on a d16z6, pretty impressive.
