Question 1997 dodge caravan 3.0

my 97 caravan was recently hit very hard in the rear and now will not start, it cranks over but there is no power to the fuel pump, all relays and fuses are good and if I run a hot wire to the pump it comes on but still will not start, is there a safety switch on these vehicles that may have been activated when it was hit, I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions thanks Bill

No they don't. I know they shut off when you do have an accident, but it's not a permanent thing. I suggest finding the hot wire in the harness for the fuel pump and seeing why it's not getting any power. It's most likely something as simple as a break in the line.

I believe there should be a roll - over switch which cuts power to the pump after an accident, or any kind of suitable impact. This switch is easily reset......... if you can find it. I do not know anything specific for this vehicle, though.
