Red face fan switch keeps going out on 95 Mustang

Hi, My problem is that for the past 4 years my fan switch goes out when the season starts for air conditioning. It just went out again. has anyone ever run across this problem? I am guessing that is what the part is call. Its the part that goes on front of the fan. See image.

I would think its a load issue with the fan. Over time, it blows the switch. I would chage the fan, and see if solve the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. So do I change just the fan or all of the parts associated with it?

If you could just change the fan motor, I think that would solve the issue.

Smile Re: fan switch keeps going out on 95 Mustang

I would check the radiator first to make sure that the radiator is not clogged. If the radiator is not clogged then I would look to see if the radiator is a 1 row radiator. If the radiator is a 1 row radiator, I would replace the radiator with a 2 or 3 row radiator. I had a 1990 Mustang with dealer installed A/C and had the same problem. The problem was resolved once I change the radiator from a 1 row to a 2 row radiator. The dealer apparently did not change the radiator when they added the A/C.

That does not make any sense? It was blowing the switch?

Alright. I figured out it was the thermostat. The fan was working it is automatic and wasn't on when I was looking. Thanks for your help.

Glad it was that simple.
