Unhappy Big Electrical Problem

to start, this is a 2002 cavalier z24, have a deck put in by future shop roughly 3 yrs ago. other then that it is basically all stock... here the problem

every so often, starting approx 3 months ago, when it rained my wipers wouldnt work... they make a buzzing noise as if they were stuck... my head light dimp ... when i try to turn my light thing from off, P, head lights somehow my doors lock and unlock... when i try to unlock my doors with the actual autmatic door lock only the right door will lock or unlock... thats basically all that ive noticed soo far .... so this used to happen when it rained ... now recently about a week ago its been happening a lot more often, even when its been dry for days ...

can someone please give me ideas.... ive been checking wires but this is such a retarded problem i dont know where to go with it....

thanks alot ... Adrian

Re: Big Electrical Problem

that's fucked man, never heard of anything like that. something is really fucked there, if the deck has been in for 3 years and no problems till now I would doubt that would be it. i can only imagine there is something wrong near the interior fuse panel, possibly something on the back of it, like a wire has come lose or something has managed to fall onto some of the wires shorting some cirecuits. that's where i'd start. but yeah, wow!

Re: Big Electrical Problem

first thing i'd do is make sure you got a good ground then go to testing wires..one more thing i'd is take neg. cable off an make sure everything is off in car and touch the neg cable to battery and if it really sparks you do have a bad short..

Re: Big Electrical Problem

I have a 2002 cavalier that is having the exact problem as the user below. The wipers stop working with a buzzing noise and the headlights dim. When turning on the head lights the drivers door sounds like it is locking. This never seems to be happening when we take it in the mechanic and they are unable to find the cause. Any suggestions would be helpful. Steve
